# How to Draw a Semi-Truck

We mainly show you how to draw sports cars or simple city cars, but today we want to show you how to draw a semi-truck.

The main distinguishing feature of this type of transport is that you can attach and unhitch a cargo trailer from the main part. This allows attaching different trailers, including super long ones, to transport large loads.

Such a method of transportation greatly simplifies and reduces the cost of transportation, because at one time a truck can carry a lot of weight in one direction, change a trailer and go in the opposite direction with a different load.

In this instruction on how to draw a semi-truck, we decided to depict it without a trailer. If you want us to show you how to draw a trailer, write to us about it in the comment section below.

## How to Draw a Semi-Truck

### Step 1

Let’s start the instruction on how to draw a semi-truck by depicting the outlines of a vehicle. Use simple lines, not trying to make them clear and even, because in the future we will have to correct them repeatedly.

### Step 2

Now draw the front arch and fender above it. Then, in the very front part, depict the side visible part of the bumper and radiator grille. Draw a step near the arch.

### Step 3

Now go to the top and draw the front and side glass. Due to the large size of the vehicle, the windows appear very small. Draw a long vertical exhaust pipe to the right of the side window.

### Step 4

Draw a door with a few straight lines. Draw the air cleaner as a vertical rectangle close to the door. At the bottom, draw the fuel tank in the shape a long horizontal rectangle.

### Step 5

Now let’s draw the wheels. Different trucks have different numbers of wheels. We decided to draw three rows of wheels. Due to the fact that we are drawing the semi-truck from the side, we see only the wheels closest to us.

### Step 6

Now let’s draw the rims. First draw the central round part. Then draw six smaller circles, which are located between the central circular part and the edge of the rim.

### Step 7

Get rid of all the auxiliary construction lines, and make the necessary lines of the drawing clearer and crisper. If you find inaccuracies or mistakes, then try to fix them by returning to the stage where you made the mistake.

Besides that, you can add shadows or colors. This will give your semi-truck drawing a more complete and voluminous look. In the instruction on how to draw a realistic car, we told you how to draw shadows.

We also strongly advise you to go to the Trucks category, where you will find drawing guides of a wide variety of trucks of various brands.
