Historical Ford Model-T Colors
When choosing colors for your Ford Model T coloring pages, it’s interesting to know how these cars looked in real life.
In the early years of production (1908–1914), Ford offered the Model T in several colors, including gray, green, blue, and red.
However, starting in 1914 the company famously switched to producing almost all cars in black, because the specific black paint used at the time dried faster and allowed for quicker mass production.
The black versions typically had the entire body painted in a glossy black tone, while some details like the radiator surround and lamps could appear in brass or dark metal shades, depending on the year. The wheels were usually painted the same dark color as the body.
Accurate Colors
If you want a more historically accurate coloring, choose black for the body and wheels, with metallic accents for the lamps and radiator.
For earlier versions, you can try dark green, deep red, or blue for the body, keeping details like the headlights and trim in a brass shade.
