How to Draw a BMW M5

As you may know, the BMW M5 is a part of the 5 series and one of the most popular E-class cars in the world, along with the legendary Mercedes Benz E-class and Audi A6.

In this tutorial we will show how to draw a BMW M5 in a very realistic style and try to convey all essential details for the E-Class cars, that is a length and business features.

How to draw a BMW M5: step-by-step tutorial

Step 1: Sketch the shape of the car

As always, we start with the basics and draw the outlets using very light lines. Start with the hood, then move to the roof and back. Try to convey the shape and style in this step.

Step 2: Sketch the wheel arches

Now use a couple of very smooth semicircles and draw the wheel arches of the car. As always, these parts should be identical in the size and shape. Locate the arches very close to the front and rear edges of the car to give the body it’s E-class feel.

Step 3: Draw the BMW M5 front and rear in detail

Starting with the front, draw the iconic M5 headings using smooth lines. Then, draw the visible part of the BMW grill. Then, draw the front bumper using smooth lines. After that, draw the elongated taillight and form the rear bumper.

Start with the windows and add angled hatching to illustrate highlights. Then, add some hatching to the headlight, taillight, and air intakes. Then, add hatching to the unlit areas. This will give your drawing of a BMW M5 more realistic appearance.
