How to Draw a Ferrari LaFerrari
Do you like to sketch supercars? If so, then this guide on how to draw a Ferrari LaFerrari car will definitely appeal to you!
If you complete this tutorial and repeat everything that the artists of DrawCarz.com do, you will get a very cool and voluminous Ferrari car drawing.
Like many of our specific car guides, this tutorial is a continuation of our main Ferrari drawing lesson, where we demonstrated all the most important and fundamental principles underlying the design of this brand.

How to draw a Ferrari LaFerrari: step-by-step tutorial
Step 1: Sketch the Ferrari LaFerrari body shape
Let’s begin by outlining the main silhouette of the Ferrari LaFerrari. Use light and confident strokes to create a smooth and streamlined body. The proportions should convey the long, low shape of a hypercar. Try to make the hood slightly forward, as this is characteristic of Ferrari design.

Step 2: Add the wheels, headlight, and window
Draw two large and accurate circles to indicate the positions of the wheels. Pay attention to their alignment so that the car looks symmetrical. Next, sketch the narrow window line, which flows along the side of the body. Add a long, sharp headlight at the front and outline the air intake just below it. You can also lightly mark the front bumper’s shape.

Step 3: Detail the wheels and sketch the mirror
Inside the wheel circles, sketch smaller concentric circles to indicate the rims. Then draw the wide and strong wheel arches, giving the Ferrari LaFerrari its powerful stance. The rear wheel arch should be more pronounced than the front one. Add a small rearview mirror near the side window.

Step 4: Detail the front of the Ferrari LaFerrari
Now focus on refining the nose of the sports car. Carefully darken the lines of the headlight, bumper, and grille to make them look clean and sharp. Use smooth curves for the hood contours. Indicate the air intake with thin, confident strokes.

Step 5: Smooth out the roof and windows
Work on the flowing line of the roof, making it elegant and aerodynamic. Draw the window shapes of the Ferrari LaFerrari more precisely, adding the curvature that distinguishes Italian sports car glasswork. Sketch the mirror with more detail, giving it the elongated, unusual look typical for this model. Don’t forget the round gas cap on the rear section.

Step 6: Detail the Ferrari LaFerrari back
The lines should now smoothly flow into the rear. Add the taillight, which is small and circular, and outline the bumper below. Trace the exhaust pipe with light strokes. You can also mark the diffuser area at the very bottom, which is dry important in aerodynamic car design.

Step 7: Draw the door and design elements
Finish the side of the body by adding the door contours. Use long, clean lines to make the door look elegant. Add a few design details such as air intakes on the side surface of the performance vehicle. Place the Ferrari emblem near the side window.

Step 8: Draw the rims and erase the guidelines
Inside each wheel, refine the rims by adding spokes radiating from the center point outward. Keep the spacing even. Erase unnecessary construction lines so the drawing of the exotic car becomes cleaner. Adjust the thickness of the spokes or modify the rim design to give your Ferrari LaFerrari supercar a unique appearance.

Step 9: Add some shadows and highlights
Finish the drawing by adding shadows with light hatching. Apply them under the bottom edges of the body, inside the arches, and near the design folds. Mark the reflections on the glass and roof with clean hatching. Shadows around the intakes and under the bumper will make the luxury sports car look more three-dimensional.

LaFerrari design features
The team behind our site, and I as the founder in particular, have always been huge fans of Lamborghini – something we’ve mentioned many times on other pages.
At the same time, we also have a deep appreciation for its main rival, Ferrari, which follows a completely different but equally recognizable design language.
In this lesson, we tried to convey the design code of the LaFerrari as precisely as possible. We wanted to show how the designers approached this model and what distinctive traits they created, so that when you sketch it, you’ll understand the purpose behind each line and shape.
Of course, just like with any other car, once you understand Ferrari’s design language, you’ll find it much easier to sketch other models as well. Many of them are also featured in dedicated tutorials here on our site.
So, the realistic Ferrari LaFerrari tutorial is completed. Could you cope with this task? What car drawing tutorial do you want to see next?
