How to Draw a Fire Truck

In this instruction, we will show you how to draw a fire truck – a special vehicle designed to help firefighters extinguish fires.

How to Draw a Fire Truck

Step 1

Start drawing a fire truck by depicting the main outlines in the form of a large trapezoid. The lines of this stage should be light, barely visible.

Step 2

Separate the cab from the cargo area. Next, go to the front and depict the hood and the visible side of the bumper. In the same stage, shape the cabin and cargo area.

Step 3

Draw an angular window at the front of the cab. Depict the rest of the windows in the back of the cab. By the way, try to depict these details without a ruler.

Step 4

Use a few straight lines to depict the doors. To check the proportionality of the artwork, you can look at it through the rearview mirror.

Step 5

Now use two long, curved lines to depict the wheel arches. Depict the details of the cargo area using straight lines. You can check the proportionality of the fire truck drawing by flipping it upside down.

Step 6

A fairly simple stage in which you will need to depict the details. First depict a hose, then draw three lanterns and end the stage by depicting a flashing light.

Step 7

Now, with the help of an eraser, get rid of the construction lines. Next, depict the wheels of a perfectly round shape and the rims inside them.

Step 9

Draw a circle in the center of each rim. Next, depict smaller circles around the center circles. They must be the same size and spaced the same distance from each other.

Step 10

Add shadows to make your fire truck drawing more voluminous. Start with darker areas and gradually work towards lighter ones. Don’t forget to add highlights.
