How to Draw a Flatbed Truck
First of all, depict the basic outlines of the body using straight and light lines. Already at this stage, the cab and the cargo compartment are clearly visible.
Now use a couple of long, curved lines to depict the wheel arches. In the same stage, depict the visible side of the front bumper.
Now, using straight and clear lines, depict the details at the bottom of the cargo part. In the same stage, depict the gas tank between the front and rear arches.
Using straight lines, depict a window, the upper part of which repeats the outlines of the front and upper part of the cabin. In the same stage, depict the headlight and the visible part of the windshield.
Now, using clear straight lines, depict the door around the side window. Next, below this very side window, depict a door handle.
Use simple lines to depict the wheels, which should be perfectly round. After that, depict equally perfectly round rims inside the wheels.
In the front middle part of the body, depict a vertically elongated rear-view mirror. After that depict a small rectangular turn signal at the bottom of the cab.
Depict small circles in the center of the rims. Around these circles, depict circles of the smaller sizes at equal distance from each other.
Add shadows to make the flatbed truck look more voluminous and convincing. Start with darker areas and gradually work towards lighter ones. Do not forget to depict highlights on the glass parts.
If you got to these lines, then most likely you have already learned how to draw a flatbed truck. You can add a little more intricate detail to the truck drawing to make it even more voluminous and realistic. If you have already done all this, then try to draw some other car using our tutorials.
