How to Draw a Ram Truck

In this instruction, the team of Drawcarz.com will show you how to draw a RAM truck – a truly large American car.

Earlier, we have repeatedly shown how to draw trucks, and if you saw our old instructions, you probably already know how they are drawn.

But despite the fact that all trucks are very similar, they still have differences, and in this instruction on how to draw a RAM truck, we will show you all the features and distinctive details.

How to Draw a Ram Truck

Step 1

Let’s start the instruction on how to draw a RAM by creating the basic details. Already at this stage, we see the division of the car into a cab and a cargo part.

Step 2

Now, using a couple of curved lines, sketch out the semicircular contours of the wheel arches. Don’t forget to depict the bottom line of the rear bumper.

Step 3

Depict the visible side parts of the headlight and taillight. In the same stage, depict the front and rear bumpers. To check the proportionality of your RAM truck drawing, you can look at it through a mirror.

Step 4

Using a clear and dark line, adjust the outline of the hood and the front of the body. Next, draw a window frame, the top line of which follows the outline of the roof.

Step 5

Draw a central pillar in the middle of the window frame with three simple lines. Next, depict a vertically elongated rear-view mirror and the outlines of large doors. In the same stage, depict the door handles.

Step 6

Carefully get rid of all the auxiliary construction lines and depict perfectly round wheels with perfectly round rims inside them. To add emphasis, you can darken the lines of the details closest to us.

Step 7

Draw circles exactly in the center of the rims. Then draw smaller circles around the center of the rims. The circles must be the same size and must be equidistant from each other.

Step 8

Add shadows starting from the darkest areas and working towards the lighter ones. To make the contrasts of shadows and lights more distinct, you can add multiple layers of hatching. Don’t forget to also depict highlights on glass surfaces.
